Impact resistant polyethylene beam
A protection system designed to protect commercial overhead doors used in industrial shipping and receiving environments. Forklifts, pallets, and manufactured items commonly found in warehouses create irreparable damage to overhead doors.
How it works
The beam is positioned in front of a door and is held between two steel channels that are bolted to the floor, as the door is opened, the beam travels up with it on lifting rods that are attached to the door. By adding wall stops at the top of both ends of the door opening, or adding continuous wall stops mounted in align with, and adjacent to the door tracks, both will provide extra protection for the door while it is in the opened position. An alarm with a strobe light that alerts a driver an impact to the beam has occurred, is also available, this feature is highly recommended as damage to most doors occurs without the drivers knowledge. Patent No. US 6,915,832 B2

The alarm systemAlarm

Multi-Functional Alarm & Strobe with individual tone and volume settings
How it works
There is an impact edge sensor on the back side of the beam at both ends which are connected to an impact air hose which is attached to an impact air switch. The impact air switch is attached to the lower sectional door panel and is connected by an electrical wire to the alarm. The alarm is powered by 120 volt current and has a strobe and time delay relay which may be set to determine the activated or 'on' time for the selected alarm and strobe. Activation time starts at .01 seconds, then minutes, hours and up to days. There are 7 different tones with 2 volume levels for each and the strobe has 4 different brightness settings.

Add an alarm to your defendadoor and see the true benefits that awareness can make to your employees.
